Our Attorneys

John Forest Hilbert is a partner of Hilbert & Satterly LLP. He practices in the areas of title insurance, real estate, business and general civil litigation. Mr. Hilbert’s experience includes representation of title insurance companies and their insureds in both litigation and coverage matters, and the representation of commercial landlords and real estate developers.

Mr. Hilbert's experience includes acting as in-house counsel for title insurers and as private counsel for individuals and entities. He is AV rated by Martindale & Hubbell.

Jason L. Satterly is a partner with Hilbert & Satterly LLP. He practices in the areas of real estate litigation, business and civil litigation, and title insurance. He is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. Satterly grew up outside Lexington, Kentucky, and currently resides in San Diego, California with his wife (also an attorney) and three young children. Away from his practice, Mr. Satterly enjoys coaching youth baseball.

Joseph A. LeVota is a partner with Hilbert & Satterly LLP. He is a civil litigator, with over a decade of experience litigating in the areas of real estate, title insurance and escrow.

Mr. LeVota’s experience includes representation of title insurance underwriters, title companies, escrow companies, financial institutions and loan servicers in civil litigation filed in California. He has trial experience and vigorously advocates for his clients.

Kelli K. Satterly is of counsel with Hilbert & Satterly LLP. Her practice focuses on family law issues, including dissolution of marriage, legal separation, paternity, child custody and visitation, move-away requests, child and spousal support, domestic partnerships, domestic violence restraining orders, and post-judgment modification matters. She is a Certified Specialist with the California State Board of Legal Specialization in Family Law.

Jeffrey N. Garland is of Counsel at Hilbert & Satterly LLP and focuses his practice on business and real property litigation from inception through appeal. Mr. Garland’s experience spans over forty years of continuous litigation practice, representing a diverse set of clients in a wide range of legal matters. He has been designated as an expert witness and served as a special master in Superior Court litigation matters. Mr. Garland is AV rated by Martindale & Hubbell.
